Encounter with the Eminent & The Final Wave-Off!

A stadium full of wet eyes, the painted faces, the huge banners & the crazy posters, the adrenalin rush within the cheers of the stadium and the big screen showing only his face along with the madness of fans. Every moment of his was watchable- not only for the stadium enthusiasts but also to the one glued to the television sets in chawl or bungalow or listening to radio in Second-hand Maruti or Imported Merc or anywhere. That is how we USED TO define the aura of one man- Sachin Tendulkar

As the West Indians were seen surviving with every ball, the clock slowly tickled to twelve and their team ended up with 126 runs less on the board. Just then, it was that one Epic moment. A Weird Silence appeared. And every thing came to a hold, Tears rolled down the eyes, not the happy ones for winning the series but in awe of the Living Legend who just hanged up his boots from all the formats of the game. He retired from his life.

As he himself said, 24 year old life between 22 yards just came to an end.  At one point, we could think Cricket without Sachin but Sachin without cricket is unimaginable.

Waving Flag since 24 years

Summer of 2003.

Scorching Heat- Under the sun, a group of shorts- wearing bachaa party playing gully cricket on the wicket made of brick. As the ball goes missing on every six or four, everyone used to go on the search operation in the neighbourhood, except for that one middle order left-hand batsmen who used to quickly escaped with silly excuse.

He goes with an awe of watching the Legend playing and rescuing the team with those fiery shots. Ind Vs Pak World Cup 2003- March 1. As the Semi-final goes on, the whole nation gives it a watch and that Legendary again makes his mark with unbeatable 2 runs short from the century giving the team an easy 6-wicket win. Opening up with the batting and 273 on board, he played amazing against bowlers like Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar. Loosing early wickets in form of Sehwag and Ganguly, India badly needed to be on stable position and then with Mohammad Kaif along came a 100-run partnership with Tendulkar who got caught on Rawalpindi ball at 98. This was an ultimate class of what kind of player he was. Playing calmly and hitting excellent strokes on the go without pressure of losing to Pakis.

This was my first and early encounter with the Eminent at an age where I was able to sought out and remember things clearly. Thanks to Star Sports for reviving those memories again in 'Sachin years' recently.

It was one of the finest memories of my childhood life, watching him play. Since then, I have been following him and adoring him in every game. Rejoicing on his boundaries and centuries and becoming disheartening on his wicket became a part of all these years. I know the game since I know the Legend himself.

200 and not out

Spring of 2010.

Gwalior- February 24. 10th Board times it was. Taking a break from usual boring books, I went on to watch the ODI match- Ind Vs. South Africa. Again opening up with Sehwag and losing him early, it was a complete Deja-vu of 2003 WC semis. But this time, he partnered with Karthik for 194 runs partnership at the 2nd wicket. Hitting those extra-ordinary square legs and midwickets, he made me forget my exams and I watched the whole of Indian innings. Aided by Karthik, Yusuf and Dhoni with whom he was involved in sizable partnerships for 153-runs win, he reached a milestone. The Commentator announced, 'Here is the first man on the planet to reach this score in an ODI match' *200 not out.

Truly a historic moment indeed. It was a joyous moment watching him play every ball as passionately as he used to play 21 years ago. During his whole career span, he was constantly excited learning, hard-working, sincere and a devoting player. All this and many more things formed up a name that is today Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar- Extra-ordinary player of his kind.

A Complete Masterclass in all sorts

Summer of 2011.

AprilFerozShah Kotla, New Delhi- IPL T20 MI vs DD. It was one of the most important date of my life, not only I was excited to witness my first ever live Stadium match but I was yet to see Sachin Tendulkar sakshaat (the term used for God) in front of me. Reached the venue before the match started. Players were practicing all over and the match was just set to start. But my eyes were searching for that  No. 10 jersey. Suddenly, I saw him walking down the stairs 4 ft away from me - I tell you what a grace it was, the humility and the persona and the charisma reflected in his eyes. I screamed Sachhhhiiinn as he walked down waving the cheering crowd, he even waved to my stand- don't know whether he saw me or not. That was the moment for me. Whole of the match, while Malinga took a 5-wicket haul for an easy 8 wicket win- I saw how Sachin motivated and cheered the bowler with  every ball. An ultimate Captain and a great puller. During the fielding time, I saw him juggling and jumping, changing positions and in the end of the bowling, he was at the same place taking a whole round of the ground.

He was actively charged with his fielding even at the age of 38, not to forget his unbeatable 46 including a huge sixer off the mid-wicket. Though, Malinga stole the show with incredible bowling, Tendulkar was still my hero at the end of the day. It was a Lifetime experience watching him play from a distance was just incredible. From then on, I kept supporting the Mumbai Indians even when they played against KKR.

Thank you @BCCI for this one!
Summer of 2013:

July, while the Internship period at TOI- A phone rings up and get to know through my friend about this Toshiba press conference with Sachin Tendulkar as the guest, Giving me a chance to watch him off-field with the media passes. So, without knowing the venue-somewhere in Gurgaon, I excited gave it a nod. Next day, I called him and an hour prior to the conference, I got to know about the venue. Hurriedly, I left my place and without having lunch I got on for the way to The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon. I was in deep trouble because going to a new place alone on public transport after getting short of time and panicking all the way. Another memorable day of my life. 3 o'clock, the event was scheduled to start and I just boarded the Saket metro after travelling 45 mins from home via auto and bus. Then, again took an auto(phat-phat) after the metro and then reached the strange place. Asking people about the hotel, I ran here there searching a tall hotel nearby. A tall building was just hid by the flyover, so as I saw it- I ran and ran and ran without caring for the autos stuff. It seemed like a mirage to me, finally running approx a kilometer or more- I reached the hotel sweating badly. 5:10 I reached and got to know through my friend that Sachin just left this place 5 minutes before whom he saw from close and even shook hand. I was in utter state of shock and disheartening situation. But, it was the inner-satisfaction that hold me strong with a believe that I did my best and all to be there. Lets meet him some other day then and I would narrate that incident to him(hopefully)

Sachin provided us with uncountable moments of joy leaving us dancing with joy. But then, it was Dec 23, 2012 two days past the dooms day when he announced his retirement from ODI's but still we could watch him play in the First Class and T-20's, so I remained neutral  about him. And then, this was Oct, 2013 when the soul of Cricket announced his retirement from all formats of game after the last test match- 14th Nov at Wankhede Stadium.

Since then, I enjoyed reading the banners and the streamers and the features and the interviews and watching the news programmes and stuff entirely related to him. November arrived and then, as the day keep coming near- the coverage just went sky high. Never in my life, I saw a person getting so much appraisal and the attention everywhere from the social media to news channels to magazines and barber-shop talks. He not only deserved it but he earned it entirely.

At 5 ft 4 inches, he was the tallest of his contemporaries around the globe.
He was beyond all, a silent volcano on the field...a gentleman to the core-it is players like him who give dignity to a game. I don't believe in giving people, terms like "God of cricket"- but he surely was ‘the soul of cricket. He was the way a hero should be: great in his game, non-controversial, humble & always at calm.

It was the off-field philanthropy and the goodness that touched hearts with humility with selflessness and a great touch of heroism. 24 years of career with an incredible talent and stats is a bigger thing to achieve.

The 25 minute farewell speech left me again in tears with the longest goosebumps I ever had. Marvelous speech it was. A person speaking so emotionally thanking all the people since the start of his career and even before that. Not a single person he left in the speech, he spoke of total wisdom and showed the way how to express the gratitude even when one is standing on the peak and at the top of the world. He thanked his father, mother, wife, brother, his guru, other relatives & his teammates.  A man who can love his family like that, respect his Guru till the last day of his career, be true to the game n his fans, be loyal to his country, remain so humble- for me he is the real Hero. No wonder at the age of 40, he could still smile like 16 years old because of purity and innocence that flows in his heart.

Tears of Joy

He has now been officially awarded the Bharat Ratna- he always was!
And yes, he managed to show his other side, something which the world thought their ‘God’ never did...he let a few tears escape those eyes.

I just wonder what emptiness would fill him with...once the morning he wakes and realizes the game of cricket is no more left in his life.

We all understand and have a fair idea of what are we going to miss from now on. But spare a thought for the super human, who won't step the field again, won't get to hear the chants of Sachhhiiin, Sacchiiiin again, no more replays, no cheering voices that welcomed him when he entered or the death silence when he left the cricket ground.

And as a Matter of Fact, the Master Blaster ended up all the formats with being in the winning side. He ended up a Champion in all forms. And got a Bharat Ratna, an honor as huge as that.

Tendulkar is and will always be in our hearts, minds, memories, notebooks, in the record books, in our stories to our children, in our moments of success and failure..

 A CHAMPION FOR LIFE

P.S: Thank you for the read.As you read all of the blog, I never believed myself to be a cricket-fanatic- I was always a Sachin-fanatic. Proud to be born in his era. A Legend for Life.

The Unplanned tale of BJ(MC)

Retrospection actually gives me a chance to just sit and self -introspect the time I had been through while revisiting the lanes deep down my memory. It halted to a year back while the wait for the college life was yet to start. So, it is the journey of merely whole of a year.

Just couple of months back, after getting done with my schooling with completion of boards, the next day I was waiting for the results to fall in my side while giving entrance exams as part of backup plans. Till then the future plan was framed to get into Delhi University and that too in a good commerce college. It is actually the ill-effects of admission hype which subconsciously goes for most commerce students in this way (i.e. scoring good marks in Boards and then getting into top DU College else following ideal BBA /MBA plan). Hence, following the footsteps with my friends even I found myself applying in DU along with lakhs of applicants battling for 58,000 seats or say less than half seats for general category. It is actually too irrelevant to opt for college over the academic course to be studied.

So, a year and 3 months later- I found myself studying BJ(MC) in a Media College.
If not the dream, it is not even a nightmare like B.Com.

At the time of filing random backup plans, I even filled for BJMC in GGSIPU along with Law & BBA in Jamia. Had no idea where my life would be heading else way. Let’s say, things fell into the right boxes and after scoring rank no. 415 in the CET – I finally got into MBICEM (Madhu Bala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media) and it didn't appeared to be the dream college in the first place while visualizing the infrastructure part.

But, BJ(MC) was simply new to me in all ways other than listening from elder cousin once who said "Mass Comm mein kaafi scope hai, industry boom kar rahi hai". Well, he was defending his choice for opting for the unconventional course. But he was not my inspiration, actually I wasn't in a mood to do BBA. So, it was my happy tale where I got myself saved from the monotonous education stuff.

In these 15 months, I learnt enough from the course that I have enough privilege to give some guru-gyaan to the ignorant of this course. Here it goes;
  • Universal Appeal: BJ (MC) is a course with universal appeal. All around the corner of the world, journalism comes with a power and formation of opinion leaders
  • Learning with fun: After studying in the course, I found several interests in the form of film-making and Photography which could grow to a career building stage. See the image on your right. It is not the pose ofcourse but one of many dreams
  • Integrated Course: This course has so much to offer in the form of overall integrated course. In the span of 3 years, the widen area it covers makes it stand apart from other courses
  • Fame and Honor: Doing well in the course will promise you with adequate fame and honor you deserve. It is a house for creativity where everybody shapes it accordingly by nurturing their talent
  • Adventure and Traveling: Being a journalist or film-maker, this course will give you adrenalin rush. Lucky people even get to travel the world around
  • Personality builder:  After learning so much about the industry, it gives a confidence and a personality everyone admires.
Well, BJ(MC) is a dream course forming unconventional youth into a house of creative outspoken industry which could act as a revolutionist, change-maker,role model or even a source for the development and progress. The course is surely damn cool!

P.S; The guru-gyaan is not a work of fiction and based on real-life experiences. The reader must feel free to form opinions because it is served free of cost.

Procrastinated Post

PROCRASTINATION: One of my most hated word but still it represents my state of mind!

Deeply Ironical it is! :/

Finally, this post is something motivational for me for the only reason that I am writing it after a huge gap of  60 days! Meanwhile after the 6 unsuccessful incomplete random posts that went into draft, this complete post would give me a sigh of relief with a hefty smile beyond this smiley > :)

In starting of 2013, I made commitment to myself  for minimum one post / month which I managed to do even in the exam times by lurking out time from my so called busy schedule.
But now, when I am free (vella) at home, I treat myself as a lazy person waiting for the holidays to be over and then preparing to regret by means of silly excuses for wasting it once it would be started.

Now enough of my self-acclaimed confessions (these confessions make me feel light and positive within the self regulatory system). :P

Its June end and I wasted (utilized) my 20 days holidays in watching movies and sleeping after an insomniac attack (normal disorder) and even applying for internship program.
Finally the day came for which I have been waiting since the start of  my Journalism and Mass Comm studies. Even here after delay in applying for internship at different organisations, I finally bagged my internship at Times Of India after calling and mailing my resume to as much organisations!
TOI is one of the biggest and the oldest Newspaper running in the veins of the country carrying 175 years of rich history and news around the world and also ranks high with the maximum circulation in the country.
These things hardly matters to me, what matters is the learning and exploring points which I would be receiving through this internship. I really want to see myself working well in the field of journalism and print media .
Internship is just the beginners' level for me and there is still a long way to go and learn beyond. So now I would be sharing my internship experiences here! The work I would do, the people I would meet and the things I would learn and explore, you would be part of each bit of my journey...

P.S: As I told earlier, I am terrible at giving a title to these random posts. Hence, with the current state of mind, this procrastinator came with an unusual title."Procrastinated Post" :P
If you got any suggestions, below is the comment box. Feel free to express your views and suggestions for the future posts.

Till then,

What an "Idea" Sir!! :D

"Beneath this mask is an idea and ideas are bulletproof"...

Ideas don't succumb, neither they get killed or destroyed, They remain immortal and inevitable forever!!
Men may come and men may go but ideas remain forever.

Tickling of ideas farther makes being into living.Everybody thinks something or other at a point of time. Hence, it is rightly said "As a man(woman), Thinketh"!!

Basically, thinking process is the residual form of an intellectual mind that gets exhausted from enough information and fictions. It is generally noticed that a person who thinks and brainstorms is one with greater capability for creativity which includes everybody.

Creativity is the tangible form of something that gets through in the brain inside.Else,we can say reflection of ideas and thinking of an individual.A deep rooted mind is the room for experiences that a person gets through.Unlike, a person who initially grows in the process of being a self is often misunderstood as immature mind.

Opinions.Ideas.Thinking all are the outcome of the information loaded within the person. It must be updated within time frame else could be quoted as 'outdated'.
Inner emotions.Perceptions.Reactions.just are based upon the mood and temperature flowing within the body at a point of time.

"I kept walking around the streets in day and wondering all through the nights facing a table lamp with a ray of illumination and figuring out the reason behind existence of my insomnia that distance away me from my dreams".

Is it something that still makes me visualize my dreams with the open eyes?
Maybe not!!
It is all in the head that is working and that makes work works. The biggest worry lies in the clogging of ideas rather than lack of sleep. It is better to be an insomniac rather than an empty mind. The one thing(idea) you think(visualize) today may change your life someday.Who knows?

P.S: After writing a random post, the most difficult thing lies in naming its title.Hence, I came up with this silly title.
Comments and reviews of readers are welcomed whole-heartedly. So, feel free to comment over the post!!

Thank you for giving it a read :D

"The Immortal Rape Culture" in a sickened society!!

Hopeless days seem never ending. And there is one day or just a moment that gives you hope. Amid enfolding anguish, one has to strain his eyes away to find that little ray of light.Only a section of these determined rays, one hopes will eventually blast a sunshine sized hole through that cloud of pain and despair. Among reports of rapes every day, comes a story of 5 year old girl that would leave you with tears and the mass outrage of people that are the agents of hopes and hence involved in protesting the streets up for the justice and demanding change from the system.

"The Rape Culture" is getting worsen with every day, every hour and every minute in country and what it follows is a bad image among the people living in the same country and worldwide where people questions the integrity of country with such a rich history and traditions. In my view, it is totally ethical and fair to do the same. When the women in the country are not safe, it has nothing to do with the history and stuff. What the dark truth is that people over here aren't civilized enough to respect the opposite sex which are equal in every possible way.In recent years, with context to the increasing statistics and the brutality of crime the society is actually seen growing be called as sickened society.

Mass aggression by people on social sites, TV Channels, newspapers, blogs and majorly on the streets is something supportive in favour of  humanity and country. It gives ray of hope that where on the one end are the devils of society busy staining humanity, on the other lies an enlightened society who no longer in a state seeing women being suffered, threatened, oppressed, tortured or feared in any way.The 'latter' category belongs to society of civilized people where 'former' are the cockroaches who need to be brushed aside from the society maybe through capital punishments. In a democratic country, as we say there are governing bodies elected through citizen voting who in turn takes a charge maintaining law and order along with judiciary and police authorities. But these incidents are a slap on the face of World's biggest Democracy that in turn we are not capable for running our own country peacefully.Even after 16th Dec gang rape incident, whole of the country was dumbstruck to what happened and the way it happened! It was horrific yet inhumanly torturous. Then we at that moment felt for it and protested till we could forcefully with full determination and anguish on our mind that we just can't withstand such act of violence in the country.Four months passed to it but still situation remained unchanged and the recent case to 5 year old girl clearly points to the failure of system and failure of police security.

The media intervention, 24*7 news coverage, banner headlines, facebook posts updates, debates, discussions remain on the peek for a while gaining enough attention for the people to wake up and ponder upon it.In the process, even such people exist who believe to condole rather than stop and knock it out which even includes the Government who are satisfied with their mournful statements. But what follows is the same incident again. It is shocking when the news breaks out that even on the day of protest, 3 girls were raped in the same city. It states that somewhere in the city where people cries their heart out, there remain an insane set of people who does not believe to be bothered at all. There are people who gets agitated over it and further lights up candles and walk towards the streets asking for change and rather fighting(apt. word) for change from lawful authorities. Days passes, weeks passes and even month passes people keep protesting in a hope that someday the candle they hold would enlighten the darkened minds with a sense of responsibility and accountability and not that they would be inserting it into someone's private parts.

Pray, Fight, Cry, Hope, Protest, Agitate is all we could do in order to make a better world rather than vote which we saw hardly makes any difference in our very own democracy. Women's safety is a concern today not for living but for survival. Fearful and horrifying eyes could be found anywhere in metros, cities, subways, roads and in any corner of country who tries to make sure she gets away safely from the stalkers or eve-teasers.Being part of the same society, it makes me feel ridiculously worried about the state of the opposite sex, about their survival, about their safety.

Does one really needs to be 'Superman' to escape away the adversities of such sort rather than being a man by not putting them into such situations only. The rapists rape anyone regardless of their age, what they are wearing, what they are up to or where they have been to and numerous things. And at this point, victim just can't be at fault in any way. Its always the torture and the inhuman being who snatches away the right to live from the soul of an innocent being.

" Should we treat women as independent agents, responsible for themselves? Of course. But being responsible and independent  has nothing to do with being raped. Women don’t get raped because they were drinking or took drugs. Women do not get raped because they were not careful enough. Women get raped because someone raped them.”

Finally First Frame Fever!!!

I so wanted to write this post maybe couple of days ago but it is delayed and highly delayed by me. One thing that I hate the most is "mood swings".I am a way too moody, maybe ainwayi!! Finally after writing this blog, I will be relieved from inner self and hence it will make me feel lighter. Well, films became an integral part of me all of a sudden. I started with them just as in for entertainment but since an year or two, I feel highly attracted to the films and more of a film-making in general. It became my dream and passion to achieve. And being in a media college, I get an edge over achieving it. Since the day I heard my college planning to host a film festival, I literally went crazy over the news. It is been titled as "First Frame Students International Film Festival".

And not to miss the fact, it is the first ever Student's International Film Festival that India witnessed back in 2003. Well, it was something that made me feel proud of MBICEM. And finally this year 2013, it was 5th edition in kitty of First Frame legacy. Mid-Jan this mission actually started till the 3rd of April. It was a combined effort of hundreds of people who worked on the screen and off the screen. By this, I mean 57 film makers who submitted their entries and the whole of the First Frame team and the College in total.

Why I am writing this post? Because we on the whole suffered from "First Frame Film Festival Fever".(Not to miss the alliteration :P ) and now when its over, we all look back at it and give a hefty smile to the magnificient team work and co-ordination. It was the biggest event indeed in my life being as a student. I still remember the online promotion that I did. Yesterday only I was checking my twitter profile that got revived due to first frame, I literally dedicated numerous around 70 tweets to it. We guys so wanted to make it trend #firstframe and #filmdreamers that everytime we used to login, we used to tweet about it.Or be it the first frame news that we used to make viral on the web with sharing and sharing. Even I was checking back my Fb profile while changing the cover photo of the first frame(I still didn't want to change it though) the profile was occupied with posts regarding happy news of sponsorships and many other info related to it.And being a volunteer, I just can't miss the proud feeling of wearing First Frame T-Shirt for those two days while doing the duties.

Well now talking about the event, it was fantastic one bigger and huge than we expected. In 2 days of event, our 3 months of craziness did wonder. 31 fantastic films by talented film makers from prestigious institutes like MBICEM, FTII, NID, AJK-MCRC and The London Film School and many were screened at the festival along with 71 photographs for F8 Photography Competition. Even for the participants, On-the-spot mobile film making was on the platter. Extremely talented panelists & guests of honor were the other big thing for the event. And two more things, Meeting with "The Placebo" team and performance of Kingdom of Dreams acted as  cherries on the First Frame Cake :P Placebo is a different and the best genre of cinema that I witnessed and Abhay Kumar and Archana Phadke were the two people who deserved a 'hats off' for their work! Placebo must happen and it will surely happen...
Coming back to the topic, after the huge First Frame 2013, I suddenly found enough of vela time for myself as if more than 24 hours! So I got hooked up to "The Kite Runner-movie,novel and many other things. Maybe not IPL this time! not yet, its been a week and I haven't seen even a single match. Wonder is it the boredom or the First Frame effect.

Lastly, First Frame 2013 just gone by, could First Frame 2014 be far behind?? :D
Nahh! First Frame 2014 would be on its wayy...

"Smiling Away the Obstacles"

Walking up a hill,
all u need is to be chill
Just wear a smile,
to walk another 100 mile.

Anguish doesn't help,

neither the escaping help
All that helps is being calm,
without use of any balm.

Success requires a dedication,
with a pinch of vision in it
Person requires an education,
with a pinch of dissolution in it

Walking down the sea,

all u need to do is to see
See for the ideas to be dissolved,
look for the causes to be resolved

In that case, just wear a smile,

and walk another 100 mile

Thy world is a stage,

and we playing on our parts
Its no more a cage,
and someone playing us on darts.

Thousand frowns can't make a day,

what makes is just one smileto someone a day,
which could lead him to walk another 100 mile!!

Hello people :)

Hola people,

As you read the blog posts by me, you surely have the right to know where it comes from..!!

Introduction(It) was supposed to be my first post. Never mind, its better late than never :)
So, (Formally) here I Shivam Rastogi deeply welcomes all the readers reading this blog.
I have done my schooling from Aravali International School, and presently I am a journalism and Mass Communication student from IP University, New Delhi.
And one more thing, trust me BJ(MC)[Bachelors in journalism and mass communication] is not just about being a news anchor standing in a news studio reading news for your morning chai or dinner roti! Its much more than that, it gives you direction to a better society.

For me, it proved to be a good course with realizing my potentials with every passing day and by learning more new things every day. It deepened my areas of interests and gifted me with new habits which I could even pursue for the rest of life.
So before I make u flow in my personal arena, I would inform you people that finally I started with the blogging thing, earlier posts were more of just articles which were informative and not interactive.
So, here it is a fresh start :)
Further all the content on this blog would be mercy of the lethal combinations of the experiences I have been through or the thing I have been thinking of and willing to write it away( won't be frustation for sure)
and for an eccentric guy like me, it would be lethal :P

Well, this doesn't end here its a lot to go.
Believes humanity to be above all and also believes in women's equality in present world. Feels great about life, everyday is a new day and chance of learning something new.Basically, I am a learner who believes that everyone has a unique quality from which we could learn something. I am highly passionate about films and film-makers and hence aspires to be one of them. Not a photographer now but would surely be 'One' soon. Follows great photographers and bloggers and remains updated with their works.I am fond of reading newspapers a lot whether printed or online with sunday edition being the nicest.Enjoys updating myself with roundabouts and whereabouts of the world with surfing on Google and blogs stuff. Loves listening music and hence a primary music listener.Enjoys company of my friends and family and loves passing time with them.
Loves reading books and writing random thoughts sometimes in form of poems or posts...

Why the hell I have occupied with web space?
The reason is very simple,I have always expressed myself in every aspect and if I think something is to be said, I say it. Its not to force or overpower with opinions but rather express it! One more reason to blog is to relive my experiences by simply penning those things...

In short, I blog for myself
But..But..But.. When you guys read and comment over the posts it makes it way more special for me.It provides with motivation and encouragement from the readers that keep me writing.
Feel free to comment what you thought about the post and keep reading :)

Good luck!

Hindi: A tale unread??

While travelling through out the book fair 2013 at Pragati Maidan, in the end I finally gave a thought of visiting the singlemost Hindi books section. Me writing this piece in English favouring Hindi acts as a shame and disgrace over the viewpoint of Hindi language in its own country.

So, I thought of asking themselves about the state of language. I encountered a freelancer hindi writer who happened to be daughter of  a Hindi author "Ashok Andrey". She started on a high note with full enthusiasm as her father's book was launched, hence she was quite excited and happy. But when she was asked about the state of hindi in our country, she became disheartened and told how these days all are busy in aping the western culture and prefering their language over ours. Language creates an identity and when it is unread and unheard, the moment is no far when it would be lost completely. Its actually too sad that how we are unaware of present day Hindi literature and authors but on the same time, we are too gelled with the English ones. Even she narrated an incident in which school students were refrained from visiting the hindi section saying that "Its hindi , we don't read that". It was a shocking thing that how present generation are not influenced to read hindi literature and hence they do not feel connected to the language. This is the reason that present day Hindi writers remains anonymous for most of the time until their work is included in textbooks and students are made to read it in name of syllabus. Even in cyber world, hindi is hard to find mainly in blogs where 1 in 1000 blogs is found to be hindi written. Though hindi is a popular language which is spoken around the world but when it comes to reading, people prefer english over hindi. In literature, hindi made its mark with great names like Rabindra Nath Tagore, Munshi Premchand but slowly in present generation it is loosing its impact maybe because of Globalisation and International exposure where we find ourself so open that our own language appears small to us.
Its not about an era of a language, its evergreen but we have to be habitual to it and preach it further to coming generation.  A step must be taken in favour of Hindi today before telling our grandsons that "Once upon a time we used to read and enjoy hindi literature" instead we shall discuss hindi literature with them.

Language lost is identity lost. It is born from the country's soil and hence it must be taken care of and looked after.

"TRAGEDY OF A CHILD LABOUR"

"Small hands can handle a pen better. Lend your support to
abolish child labor."

Like every normal child, even the poor children have full right to dream on and live up their life and hence they must not be pushed into these kinds of work by leaving their education and by sacrificing their childhood..
So with the help of thunderclap, I want to contribute towards pausing this cause and making the life of these children better. All you need to do is to spread awareness and to stop and abolish child labour throughout the country. These kinds of slavery not only destroys their childhood but also destroys the country's future and hence widespread damage to the economy.
